Race Director Request:

For safety reasons, if you run faster than 6:00/mile, please run the 5M race, not the 5K. This course includes 2-way sections, cross-overs and a .4 mile section where the lead 5K runners will run next to 5M runners on their final mile. Anyone running faster than 6:00/mile in the 5K will ruin our fun day.

So if you're a super fast 5K runner, please contact alain@racemenu.com to be switched into the 5M - you might win a TomTom Sport Watch too!

Boat Departure to Spectacle island: 10:00AM

Race Start: 5-Miler at 11:00AM  / 5K at 11:25AM

Boat Return from Spectacle Island back to World Trade Center: 2:00PM

1. What does my registration include? 
   • Boat ride to and from Spectacle Island
   • 5K or 5 mile run 
   • Catered lunch by Strega
   • Beer from Long Trail 
2. I signed up for the 5M (or 5K). Can I run the 5K (or 5M) instead? Yes, but you'll need to switch your race assignment (shown in your confirmation email) via our transfer form.
3. Can I run with a baby jogger/bring children to watch the run? Sorry, baby joggers & strollers are not allowed in the race. This is a 21+ event; no one under 21 will be permitted on the boat or on the island for the duration of the event.
4. Can I run with my dog? No - dogs are not allowed on the island.
5. Can I get a refund if I register but don’t run? No, we plan the race based on the number of registered runners, therefore we cannot offer refunds
6. What if it rains? The race will take place come rain, snow or shine, but you will be notified if we have to postpone.
7. What distance is this race? The race is 5K (3.1 miles) distance or 5 miles.  
8. Will there be bag-check? Yes, we will have staff on site to check your bags for safe-keeping during the race. Bag check will be clearly marked on the boat.
9. Where is the start and how do I get there? Both races start in front of the Island's Visitor Center and finish on the pier.
10. What are the parking accommodations? There are many lots around the Seaport District area where we will board the boat.
11. Can I take a shower after the race? No, we will not have shower facilities on the island.
12. Will there be an after-race celebration?  Runners will enjoy a variety of delicious food and drink items.
13. How do I donate to one of the charities? When you sign up to register, you can choose an amount to donate to one of the three charities on the roster.
14. What if I want to leave before 2pm? There are water taxis you can call to pick you up from the island, but that will be at your own cost.
15. What if I want to be a spectator, but do not wish to participate in the run? Not interested in running, but want to come out and celebrate with your friends? Purchase one of our spectator tickets which includes ferry transportation to and from the island, as well as drinks and refreshments at our party on the pier. 
16. What kind of food are you serving?
    Caprese Sandwich: Sliced tomatoes, homemade mozzarella, basil, extra virgin olive oil, and balsamic vinegar
    Turkey Sandwich: Turkey & Swiss, lettuce, tomato, and Chipotle
    Roast Beef Sandwich: With cheese served on sub roll with Russian dressing
    Tuna Sandwich: Albacore tuna, celery, onions, and mayo
