WHAT IS THE FRANKLIN PARK MILE?
The Franklin Park Mile is a one mile race open to everyone. The Franklin Park Mile will be a race that unites, inspires, and encourages all people to take steps towards becoming happier and healthier members of their community. It is put on by the Forest Hills Runners, a community running organization based in Jamaica Plain.
For everyone 16 and under the race is FREE. 16 and over the race fee is $15 in advance, or $25 day of. Proceeds will benefit YES (Youth Enrichment Services) that provides mental & physical enrichment activities to kids. More info at yeskids.org.
Anyone! There will be multiple heats for age and gender including a family heat. Strollers and dogs are welcome!
WHEN & WHERE IS THE RACE?
The race is on Sunday, October 6th. Race-day registration will open at 12PM and the first heat will start at 12:30PM. The race will take place in Boston’s Franklin Park near White Stadium and the newly renovated Playstead. Just follow the music!
