The 6th annual Running of the Leprechauns 5k is a roaring St. Patricks Day race/party.  We have made 1000's of friends, mobilized over 1000 volunteers and raised and donated over $90,000 in the first 5 years of this event- we excitedly keep growing!  Help us break through $100,000 by registering or donating today! 

YOUR RACE MATTERS for Boston Childrens Hospital !





VENUE:
American Legion 321 Winthrop Street, Medford.  RACE STARTS AT 8AM.




BEING such a big year... and 6 BEING our magic number in New England Our whimsical and colorful race shirt beloved by many is getting a fresh design- make sure you get yours- Long Sleeve Race shirt guaranteed for all that are registered by March 8, 2019. Finishers medal when you cross the finish line! Awesome swag!

Team captain perks:
Create a team, recruit at least 5 other teammates and you run FREE!! We’ll also have prizes for the captains of the three largest teams.

Every registrant is given a fundraising page- this is not a requirement- it is optional.  There will be prizes for the top 3 fundraisers! 

Chip timing:
The Running of the Leprechauns 5K is a chip-timed event for runners; the chip will be on the back of your race number- including the walkers!!


Awards categories:

BIGGEST TEAM AWARD- Biggest team will receive a plaque, bragging rights and the decision of pinpointing where 1/3 of next years proceeds are directed to at Boston Childrens Hospital.  There is a 2nd and 3rd place plaque as well!


Best Costume (judged by the race directors) 1st and 2nd

$250 Cash & Medal to Top Male & Top Female Overall. Age group awards Medals. Overall awards are based on gun time; age group awards are based on chip time. 

Trophies/medals can be claimed at the awards ceremony.

ROUTE 

EARLY PACKET PICKUP If you register by WEDNESDAY at 5pm you will be able to come to early packet pickup at Cosmopolitan Real Estate 23 Salem Street, Medford Square.FRIDAY 12-5pm .   SATURDAY 10am-2pm 


SUNDAY packet pickup will be open from 6:30am-7:30am.  Kier Byrnes Irish Band starts playing at 7am 

6:30 am -7:30 am On site Registration/packet pickup CLOSES AT 7:30am
Fundraisers please bring your donations to DAY OF REGISTRATION table.

ENJOY live Irish music of Kier Byrnes LIVE Irish Band from 7-11am


7:45am  KIDS FUN RUN!  Free race for the wee ones- register onsite only. Be at the start line.


7:50am- "Best Costume Contest" Be at the start line and ready to strut your stuff!


8:00am SHARP – 6th Annual Running of the Leprechauns 5k race begins! 
9:15 am awards presentation inside.  


St. Patrick's Day after-party- Brunch,  fresh Irish Bread, cash bar and lively entertainment by Kier Bynes and 3 Day Threshold Irish Band and GOULDING Irish Dancers!

There are parking lots in Medford Square, on Mystic Valley Parkway and at MHS

POSTPONEMENT, CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY: 
You may transfer your registration but there are no refunds. In the event of inclement weather, the event may be postponed to another date. No refunds will be issued due to conflicts with the postponement date. If RACE must cancel the event due to circumstances beyond our control, or change location no refunds will be issued. Please remember, all proceeds go to charity.
