I am more grateful than ever to spend this Thanksgiving with my family. Two years ago at Thanksgiving my mother was three days post-surgery after doctors discovered an ovarian tumor. While I am so grateful that she is cancer free today, many others are not so fortunate - my family is acutely aware that my grandfathers and many friends could celebrate Thanksgiving with us if not for cancer. I am therefore marking the holiday by running the Charles River Half Marathon to raise money for the RACE Cancer Foundation, which is a Boston based nonprofit that rasises funds and awareness for organizations dedicated to fighting cancer. Thank you so much for your support of this important cause.
